I graduated from Dublin Institute of Technology in 2011 with a First Class Honours BSc in Physics (Physics with Medical Physics and Bioengineering). During this undergraduate programme I spent six months in St. James’s Hospital on work placement in third year, working in the imaging department, and returned to St. James’s hospital to complete my final year project entitled "Half-time SPECT imaging: A quantitative study of the impact on image quality". The results of this project were presented at the international scientific European Medical Physics and Engineering Conference in 2011. I continued to study Medical Physics in Trinity College Dublin, and completed in a post graduate diploma Physical Sciences in medicine in 2012.
I began my PhD in DIT in October 2015, supervised by Dr Jacinta Browne, funded through Fiosraigh Scholarship Programme, DIT.
